Ritual at the Sea

Sep-17  9:00AM

Every year, we pay homage to Iemanjá, the Orixá related to the Sea, a great Mother for all the followers of the Afro-Brazilian tradition. This year we will gather on Saturday September 17, at the Delaware Seashore State Park near Rehoboth, our usual place.

All are welcome. If you are interested, please register through our contact page at www.tgwashington. org or email us at tgw_dc@yahoo. com. We will organize carpooling and leave the TGW house in Kensington at 6AM.The ritual will start at 9AM.

Directions to the Park can be obtained through: http://www.destatep arks.com/ dssp/dssp. asp

Participants traditionally dress in white pants and shirt for the ritual and bring a change of clothes. You may also want to bring food to share for an after-ritual picnic.
